About me
Before I understood organisations, I studied people and cultures.
My background in Socio-Cultural Anthropology formed the perfect basis for switching perspectives between a systemic and architectural view on organisations and the inner worlds of people therein.
My Story
The experiences that shaped my approach to change.
Where my questions began
At 16, an exchange year in Australia brought me into contact with Aboriginal Dreaming and Songlines and with knowledge carried through land, stories and song. I knew I had encountered something I would spend a lifetime trying to understand. In my family, change and the connection to people was never abstract: doctors, teachers, small-business owners, and people who moved, migrated or began again. It left me with a question I still carry: how do people hold change together, and what happens when they can’t?
Looking beneath the surface
I studied Anthropology, Political Science and Law in Heidelberg and Tübingen, then completed a PhD in Cultural Anthropology at the Universities of Freiburg and Heidelberg. My research explored demographic change, ageing and migration between Germany and Turkey and how individual and collective identities are built, broken and rebuilt among families, economic constraints and geopolitical dynamics.
When change became personal
I worked inside organisations through SAP implementations, restructurings, M&A and cloud migrations. Too often, the technical plan was clear while the human impact was not. I saw people expected to catch up with change without getting the orientation they needed. Then my own transformation began. A personal crisis and the inner work that followed taught me this: change is lived from within, but shaped by the conditions around us. Sustainable transformation needs inner clarity and outer structures that help people act on it.
